"As a sculptor, shapes and forms are very important to Van de Ven.  One day, while reading the newspaper, she stumbled upon a photograph with revolvers. This inspired her to use this ‘forbidden’, male form and create something beautifully soft and feminine. “A controversial shape transformed into a jewel on the wall to which the viewer feels attracted.” Golden Project consists of 9 iconic gun-shaped sculptures which resemble the human search for power."
